FAQ's
For your safety and the best chance of effective treatment, we ask that patients meet certain eligibility requirements for injectable weight loss medications. You can check your initial eligibility below, but please note that meeting these criteria doesn’t guarantee approval. Every patient will need to complete a simple online consultation, which our specialist clinical team will review.
Initial Eligibility Criteria:
Age 18 to 75
BMI over 30, or BMI over 27 with a weight-related condition (like high blood pressure or high cholesterol)
No diabetes
Meets other clinical requirements based on medical history
If you have any doubts, it is best to discuss this with a healthcare professional.
If you want to check if you are overweight, you can use a BMI calculater.
To calculate BMI:
Divide weight (kg) by height (m) squared.
Example: For 70 kg and 1.70 m, square height: 1.70 x 1.70 = 2.89. Then divide weight by height squared: 70 ÷ 2.89 = 24.2.
You can do this via the NHS website – click here to calculate your BMI
For most adults, if your BMI is:
below 18.5 – you’re in the underweight range
18.5 to 24.9 – you’re in the healthy weight range
25 to 29.9 – you’re in the overweight range
30 to 39.9 – you’re in the obese range
40 or above – you’re in the severely obese range
However, there are other contributing factors to consider.
Being overweight can increase your risk of many serious health conditions, the most common including:
Cardiovascular disease
Being overweight can lead to high blood pressure and high cholesterol, which are risk factors for heart disease and stroke.
Type 2 diabetes
If you are concerned about being overweight, talk to a healthcare professional.
