Cytoplan Fos-A-Dophilus Probiotic combines six live bacterial strains - Bifidobacterium longum, Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG, Lactobacillus animalis ssp lactis, Bifidobacterium breve, Bifidobacterium infantis and Lactobacillus acidophilus - delivering 4 billion bacteria per capsule. The formula uses GUARD technology, a patented natural coating that protects the bacterial strains from stomach acid and enables timed release within the intestines.\n\nBecause it is higher in Bifidobacteria, which colonize the large intestine but become harder to replenish with age, this formula is particularly recommended for adults over 40; Cytoplan recommends its "Acidophilus Plus" product for younger adults. The strains are stable at room temperature and remain active throughout the entire GI tract, making it suitable for both short-term gut support and daily maintenance, including travel.
Take 1-2 capsules daily as a food supplement, at any time of day, with or without food, or as advised by your medical practitioner. For travel, start 7 days before departure and continue 7 days after returning.
