We are all in this together

On Saturday 31st October, Boris Johnson announced that England will go into a National lockdown from today.

The Prime Minister said, he expected the latest restriction to last for four weeks, into the 2nd December, when regional restrictions will be reintroduced.

This lockdown will be slightly different to the one that we entered in March: while pubs, bars, restaurants, non – essential shops and gyms will remain close; schools, colleges and universities can stay open.

The Government also stated that people should avoid all non – essential travel by private or public transport and holidays at home and abroad are banned.

News of the lockdown broke on the same day that the UK recorded its one millionth confirmed coronavirus case and following the conference, it was announced that mortgage payment holidays and the furlough scheme will be extended.

GPs across the UK will continue to take care of our Nation via the digital plan which includes virtual and phone appointments as well as medication home delivery – you can find more details on our myGP app.

Looking after your mental health is more important than ever.
